Creating DNS Entries with Powershell

Just some more Powershell. In this case, I had to delete a bunch of stub-zones and then recreate the records from the stubs in the main zone. Reads a CSV that has 3 columns, Name, Type and Address. Type can be either A or CNAME. Could be extended to include other record types, like MX, but didn’t need that at the time. (more…)

Some quick Powershell to do backup and restore of AD DNS zones. You need the reskit installed as a pre-req. Backup files are placed into┬ác:\windows\system32\dns + whatever you specify. There doesn’t appear to be a way to change the base folder though. (more…)
